Our Content Standards
Fleet safety is not subjective. It is governed by physics and federal regulation. Every module in the GIST library is audited against specific FMCSA codes and industry best practices.

Our Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) content is strictly aligned with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) Review
Safety content is high-stakes. Incorrect advice can lead to injury or legal negligence claims. To mitigate this, GIST Awareness employs a rigorous Triple-Vetting Process for every lesson plan before it is published to the library.
The Regulatory Audit
A Certified Director of Safety (CDS) reviews the script to ensure no conflict with current federal law. For example, ensuring that “On-Duty Not Driving” advice matches the latest ELD mandate revisions.
The Practicality Check
A veteran driver with 1M+ safe miles reviews the content for “real world” applicability. This step removes “theoretical” advice that doesn’t work on the road (e.g., advising a backing maneuver that is impossible in tight urban docks).
The Instructional Design Polish
An educational specialist formats the content to maximize retention, adding the “Check for Understanding” questions and visual aids.
Content Revision Policy
Regulations change. When the FMCSA updates the “Hours of Service” rules (as they did with the 30-minute break modification), old training becomes dangerous.
GIST Awareness guarantees that all active modules are reviewed quarterly. If a regulation changes, we flag the affected modules with a “DEPRECATED” tag immediately and release an updated version within 14 days. Subscribers are notified via email of any critical regulatory changes affecting their assigned training.
